Thank you for this amazing upload and your efforts on delivering it to us. FOTRE is my favorite score from the 1960s, a one-of-a-kind experience. Both it and the film differ from so many other extravaganzas in my opinion - the use of the organ well represents the namesake of the film for me. I listen to a number of soundtracks for Roman films, such as Ben Hur, Gladiator, Cleopatra, and let them help "define" the different eras of the civilization for me. True, there were no organs proper around the time of Commodus, but this score always served for my Late Empire soundtrack. The growing hold of a new religion, a different set of values. I always play this badboy back to back with Gladiator when I read Roman history.

I only hope that Tadlow, Prague, and Raine did this some justice, as my expectations are extraordinarily high. If anything, I am certainly satisfied already with the quality of the rip - FLAC is a must!

As conductor, Mr. Fitzpatrick may have a love-hate relationship with this music but I'm loving it since the first tracks, specially that permanent layer of lyricism that doesn't crystalize sharply -or not much- but is constantly accompanying every other emotion. I guess the mixing had its role too in mantaining some acoustic-generated distress under low limits and in preserving the "epic Hollywood film" character of this score. It's a great gift, tri2061990. Thank you very much.
