loved Princess of Mars and the rest when I was younger, hadn't read them in a long time. probably wouldn't be as good as memory makes them.
Guess I'll have to go see if its any good.
Anyone here see/recommend/hate it?

I'm unfamiliar with the books. I thought it looked like crap from the trailers, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised. Not an all-time classic, perhaps, but a solid two hours of entertainment, and the ending is a high note.

amazon was giving away the kindle editions of the rest of the books...

i thought it was awesome (for a person who has never read the books, it made me want to read them). I recommend it; can't wait to get it on blu-ray.

I never read the books, but I loved the movie. Sucks it did so badly in the theaters so it is not getting a sequel. =/

i love the books, big fan of Edgar Rice Burroughs. the film was pretty good. they made some odd changes to the story, but it was good. sad to see it did so poorly at the box office.

The movie sucked hairy golf balls through a broken flexi-straw. I'd rather watch Phantom Menace on an endless loop that this shite again. It failed on every level. In typical Hollywood fashion they wasted good screen time on panoramic 3D shots and FX that could've developed the story better. Plus since they didn't even bother to market the damn thing no one aside from us diehards even knew what the hell it was.

The film was hideously bad. Avoid, if you haven't seen it.

I have to say, I bought this on Blu-ray because of my positive theatrical experience and was majorly disappointed. There was a sense of awkwardness that I wholly missed in the theater. It's definitely a misfire.
