had the Live 1979 versions. This release has the original 1964 entended release versions.

What's the password for the .rar?

There is no Password.

For some reason I only had half the file and when I tried to unzip it it asked for a password! Could you possibly upload to another site such as MediaFire in future as PeeJe it far too slow. It says it will take over 12 hours just to download a 332.23 MB file!

It supports resume, i would use Orbit or something like that so as not to lose any file data during DL incase of a break in your service. I do have a Mediafire account though. I like Sendspace but they won't allow files bigger than 300 megs for free accounts, but thats no biggy.

Thanks for this. I never liked how the ost didn't include some of the tracks and how it didn't keep the original "You Really Got Me" track. I'm going to convert to mp3 to help reduce the file size. That, and that's a format I prefer, and I can't tell the difference between FLAC and mp3. :p

A minor point - the two tracks by the Kinks ("You Really Got Me" and "All Day and All of the Night") that are included here are not the ones found in the game. I believe that these ones are the original recordings from 1964, while the recordings used in the game were from a live concert in 1979 (which, ironically, means that the game was using anachronistic recordings of the two songs).

You're right. That's why i used the correct versions for the time period. I had also replaced them in game for my own use to have the correct feel.

Thanks alot for sharing this gem that highlights a part of my childhood. A great selection of tracks that represents the musical culture of the mid 60s and the Vietnam conflict era, right up there with the Forrest Gump OST. I didn't think finding it would be that hard but I saw quickly that most of the soundtracks out there are lazy mp3 compilations. I gotta say, I had to get the live versions of the 2 Kinks songs since they kick so much ass, especially for their time, and have a more powerful sound than their respective studio counterparts, even though I still think both versions are good in their own way. A great soundtrack for a great game at that, sadly one of the underappreciated installments of the series.
