So, after facing several problems, mainly because of EAC not really supporting Japanese characters, here it is:
The soundtrack to the Gyakuten Saiban movie (which is great, btw).

As there is up to now no database containing all the information, I had to input all of it manually. So there might be 1 or 2 mistakes. If you find any mistakes in the tags or even in the rip itself, just tell me and I'll try to correct them.

7-zip works like any other zipping program, you shouldn't have any trouble with it.

And you can convert the FLAC-files yourself, using foobar2000, for example. Thus, you can choose yourself the mp3 bitrate you prefer and it saves us the trouble of uploading a separate mp3-archive.

I know Koji Endo more for his Horror movie compositions.
He is a bit of "round about" in many styles of music. But this soundtrack is Orchestral yes, but with some Horror elements of him. Expect some electro tunes (not much though).

What the hell of movie is this???
I am hearing the soundtrack and I am having the feeling of a horror movie!!!

This soundtrack is not ALL Koji Endo though

Tracks 01, 02, 03, 18, 19, 20, 35 & 34, are originally composed by CAPCOM SOUND TEAM and arranged by SoundKids.
The rest yes, it is composed & Arranged by Koji Endo.

I thought Phoenix Wright was the composer...

Orie
03-04-2012, 11:54 PM
no. "Phoenix Wright" is the Non-Japanese name for the game title.
It is also called "Ace Attorney", if I am not wrong.

---------- Post added at 09:54 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:42 AM ----------

I must say I am very surprised about anyone wanting this soundtrack.
Or people wanted it for collection of being fan of the game series, or just to have it and never to hear it, or...
people really like, REALLY this soundtrack.
Apart those "cinema" versions, the rest of the soundtrack is a horror movie soundtrack. It is not that I do not dislike it. Some users here already know that I am very found of these kind of soundtracks, and in my opinion it is in this kind of compositions you can really see how a great an artists is.
But this soundtrack really gives the feeling of the movie being a "Horror" movie.
I do not know the games that well and I have not seen the movie, but I think the games are all about judgements, convictions, attorneys and all that kind of stuff. (correct me if I am wrong, please). And I really do not see this soundtrack fitting in it. :/

The soundtrack is 3G (Great, Gorgeous, Gwacamole) XD
It really makes us catch environments and visualize some things according to the title of the tracks. (if you are like me, who listens music in eyes shut and let my imagination going through the flow of the music.)
I congratulate those who wanted this soundtrack for the music and not for being related to the game.
I still say I am surprised. "Horror" compositions are never or not that much of appreciated...since ever.

Correct - The Japanese game series was eventually moved to DS and many of the DS games were localized under the name Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney. In Japan there is a well-established series called Gyakuten Saiban. I assume this is from a live action film based on the game series. See more information about this ost on VGMDB (http://vgmdb.net/album/31912)

Orie

XD I just added the info there right now XDXD

CherryCoke

Yes, it is the live action movie, which is now in cinemas in Japan - and there is a chance it will actually come out in the US, too, I read there is some kind of premiere planned at a festival in June or so.
Concerning the atmosphere of the soundtrack: Although it really has some kind of horror feeling to it, it fits the movie very well. I watched it two weeks ago, and especially the scenes in court sometimes convey a dark, desperate feeling - and I think this is pretty close to the games, considering that very often you barely come out "alive" and save your client.
That being said, there are a lot funny moments in there, too - they may just not be reflected that much in this soundtrack.
All in all, I loved the movie, and I like the soundtrack very much, too.

I hope you did not get me wrong with what I wrote. But I got very curious how it would fit the movie of a theme like that. And I just could not imagine it fitting at all.
Although the "cinema" versions, I think they are very near to the feeling of the game, even though orchestral, they seem to do well the job for that kind of fan. :)
I have all soundtracks of the games and I do like them very much. :)
So yes, I feel a great disparity between the game soundtracks and the movie one in recalling the same theme and musical environment.

I just remembered one little thing that I forgot to mention before - basically the only thing that I didn't like that much was that music was not used that often or more in a quiet way - in stark contrast to all the games, where the music really plays an important role and accompanies the player's situation. And this only happens in very few scenes in the movie.

It sounds like a lot of this is a sample orchestra and not a real orchestra. It is definitely a lot of ambient/horror stuff here.

Orie
03-05-2012, 12:47 AM
I know what you mean. Like a if the songs worked as "theme" for certain moments and that they should repeat themselves in those very moments.
Talking a bit like game. The "winning theme", the "achievement theme". and so on...

Koji Endo works with orchestra. The much you can say is that the choir may be "sampled".

Although, SoundKids arrangements (the cinema versions) do seem sampled orchestra. :/
