No this is very somber score given the subject material of the film it works beautifully however.

It's also nothing like one of my fav Gabriel Yared recordings, Amelia.

The film is not an action film, the music sets the somber mood of the story and in that respect works quite well.

As a standalone listen not so much.

I don't want to degrade the work of Gabriel Yared, maybe the score fits perfect to the film. I didn't watch it.
I always listen to my score music isolateted, so for me this score is boring.

Mostly isolated although listening to a soundtrack will bring back memories of the films in many instances.

There are few soundtracks in my collection that I listen to frequently that do not stand on their own as a musical piece.

Correct it's what we call the 5 and then wait rule, after you each 5 there will be a slight delay for the system to activate your PM ability.

Good choice. I'm a huge fan of Troy but Amelia is in my Yared top-list too.

Haven't seen the film yet but from what the track titles reveals it probably needed no bold orchestral stuff. With that in mind the last track remains as a nice Yared classic.
