Many thanks, Api! :D Say, I have to ask, are there ANY songs missing from this OST? I've talked with the people over at Eminence & they said that MOST songs are on the OST.

EDIT: Nvmn...I figured it out. Harada's (Devil Jin) & Dampierre's themes are missing from the OST. I guess they weren't notable... Other than that, every single song is on this OST, so thanks once again for uploading it! :) It's greatly appreciated. ;)

The first two discs are character thematic with individual theme songs for every character in the game. Most of these songs are from the stage levels in the game. The third disc contains music you hear from game's menu and lobby areas. It also includes all the cinematic music score you hear from the storyline cutscenes.

It also includes the more upbeat remix to the Assassin's Creed theme song (one of my favorites) from the Ezio reveal trailer which isn't found of course on any of the original soundtracks from the Assassin's Creed series.

I haven't finished listening to every song here yet, but so far, it's pretty much all new material here. Very good material here. There doesn't seem to be any remakes of past songs or even hints or interludes of anything sounding like any song from past Soul Calibur soundtracks. But all of it fits right in and this is a very fine addition to anyone's collection. Highly recommended! =D

Thanks

Unfortunatly this is a disappointment for me. Consistency with the other games is almost nonexistent, SCIV at least had a bombastic opening and closing theme but even Path of Destiny was abandoned. I really had hopes for another Reprise of Healing Winds or even an orchestral version of "Under the Star of Destiny".
I don't think much about Inon Zur and especially Hiroki Kikuta is very disappointing here (Samsara is the only piece I enjoyed). Chris Velasco, Andrew Aversa and all the other composers on the other hand delivered for the most part, but SCII - IV were overall better scores. Nonetheless, the orchestral stuff is fine, especially "Blood Thirst Concerto".

I disagree. While most of you say is true, IMO Kikuta's themes are the closest to the traditional Nakatsuru/Kobayshi/Takada/Yano songs. (Except Regalia, of course) Tread Ye The Path Of Bravery feels a bit to Ephemeral Dream, IMO.

And I wouldn't say SC4 is better than this. SC4 was kinda washed out with only Thanatos, Spark of Fate and Halcyon Harbor being decent. SC2 and 3 maybe, but SC4 no way.

Many got greedy - deal with it. Also where have I complained about not having "even" lossless? That word emphasizes a lot, I said nothing like that.

And don't tell me I'm not grateful, of course I am, left a thx, rep & like earlier, that's the least I could do for Api-Vat's generosity. You know very well that most people download and never post a simple thank you, or they post only when links become dead or they want another codec or whatever.
I almost never complained about anything during my time here, so for fuck's sake don't get me started.

klnerfan i have to agree 110% with you on this. after listening to the songs myself, there aren't really any that stand out. i think NB was more interested in trying to "pimp" the artists rather than make a full on quality release. 2-4 were the best soundtracks and and will forever remain my favorites.

I agree. The music is good but degrading. :( My most listened track in this OST is only Jesper Syd's Ezio theme.

I think I know the reason. Keiki Kobayashi is not in the team. :'(

And Junichi isn't really present. The Soundtrack is great though, at least for me. BEcause let's face it: To be newcomer composers to the SC universe, the work they've done doing characters themes is amazing. Specially for that guy who composed the tracks on school summer break.

Well, listening to the soundtrack on YouTube I can see I didn't miss anything. I'm sorry, but regardless of how good these tracks are to some, I can't enjoy this soundtrack. As far as I'm concerned it's not worth much of anything without Junichi Nakatsuru pumping out his usual tracks (then later Keiki Kobayashi). They're pretty much the only reason I download the soundtracks in the first place but.. They're sitting in the shadows on this one. I guess I could be just a bit biased, but.. Well, the only track by a new composer I found worthwhile was for Zwei's theme.

I have to admit that this score has really grown on me. While it doesn't even hold a candle to the early Soul soundtracks, it's definitely better than SCIV's, which was not bad but entirely unremarkable.
