3shiro is saying this, but he's downloaded it :p or he got the LP & he is disgusted to see a rip shared. lolz :D
otherwise, why he is here ? he is scrutinizing for new OST & never share one.
just look here, he is the one bumping this thread yesterday.
last post was 28 march, like i said, scrutinize.

as you said Orie, it's just a no brain collector (no food for cat zombie), far of us, far of our sharing spirit.
do not pay attention of this insignificant crappy cat.

I just received my M.D. Geist and California Crisis Globain magazines. In one of the pages in the M.D. Geist Globian, I found out that the Soundtrack to The Humanoid was actually released on CD and Cassette Tape. Catalog Numbers: (CD) [LD32-5009] and (Cassette Tape) [LC28-5009].

No prob, Simon. :) The Humanoid is one of my favorite OVAs because it was one of the first 80's OVAs I had ever seen, and it got me addicted to 80's anime music. So... The Humanoid is one of the reasons I'm here on this forum. XD

I knew there was a CD, I've seen pictures floating around; but I wasn't aware of a cassette release. Cool info! :) Also, I really like California Crisis, do you think you could post hi-res scans of all the pages related to that anime? I've got a Roots Search Globian too if you want me to post a link to the relevant scans. :)

Sorry I don't have a scanner. I will try and get one in the future. I will keep reading the magazine and message you anything interesting that I find.

EDIT: @manny7546 I didn't catch those auctions sadly. But on a somewhat related topic, I found out that Hell Target was released not only on VHS, but VHD.

I have it on VHS. ^_^ I did a rip once, but it's not that great... might have to redo it soon without interlacing, if possible. =/ I'd have bought it on VHD, but it's expensive and I don't have a player nor do I know anyone or any service that can rip VHD.

I did find some subs for Hell Target, but they were... not that great. So I corrected most of the grammar and spelling errors, but they're still not great because I don't know Japanese and the original subber only knew 20% of the Japanese language. ^_^; So it's better than nothing, but I'd love it to get a better translation someday.

You actually have it on VHS? You're so lucky. Well, I'm still searching for my holy grail that is the Japanese Laserdisc of the ORIGINAL VERSION of M.D. Geist. I already have the U.S. Laserdisc released by U.S. Manga

Fokkusu
05-29-2012, 04:56 AM
Yeah, I got it from Otokichi Premium a year or two ago for around $15 or so. They don't have any more, but there's usually a copy or two on Y!Auctions.

I hope you find that laserdisc soon; I'm very happy that I finally found Roots Search for me and Manny. =) That one was our holy grail. XD

I actually found that Laserdisc on a few Yahoo Auctions. But I have no idea how to buy from Yahoo Auctions and I've searched ebay day after day for years and none have come up. But at least I found a few Japanese Genocyber LDs on ebay. I have LDs 1-3. All I need now is LDs 4-5 and I'll then have every Genocyber episode.

Fokkusu
05-29-2012, 05:14 AM
Bidding on Y!Auctions is easy if you use a middle-man service. I've done it before through Otokichi Premium. ;) You do pay extra fees for the middle-man service, but sometimes it's worth it.

Here's the page that tells you how to do it: OTOKICHI MIDDLE-MAN SERVICE (http://www.otokichi.com/main/newotokichien/otokichimidman.htm)

The part about auctions is on the right side of the page.

Wow thank you. Next time I see an M.D. Geist LD on Yahoo Auctions go up, I'll be sure to buy. Thanks again for the help.

Fokkusu
05-29-2012, 05:25 AM
You're welcome. ^_^ Just be sure that you send Otokichi your bidding request in plenty of time before the auction ends, since they can't always bid right away. Also, if the item gets a lot of bidders (or if you think it will) it's always better to bid relatively high prices if you really, really want the item.

Hey guys, I'm re-ripping my Hell Target VHS now. :) I can't figure out how to get it to NOT interlace, but I did figure out how to adjust the contrast to make the picture less dark. Now maybe you can actually see what's going on. XD

manny7546
05-29-2012, 08:45 AM
What software are you using? Perhaps I can help you with the interLaceing (⌒▽⌒)

Fokkusu
05-29-2012, 09:00 AM
I use ArcSoft's Showbiz DVD 2. I don't think they have an option for non-interlaced recording... I was gonna use VirtualDub, but I tested it and it makes the resulting video speed up and slow down at random times. =/ Plus the uncompressed files from VirtualDub are 50+ GB. x__x

Still... even though there's interlacing, at least you can actually see what's going on now that I've corrected the contrast. If I can find a way to do a non-interlaced rip, I'll do it. But for now I'll throw what I have onto Mediafire.

Anyhow, I'm gonna go to bed now. I'm super tired...

Fokkusu
05-29-2012, 05:59 PM
Well, I can't seem to record deinterlaced, but I can deinterlace the video after recording. I'm also decreasing the noise and lowering the file size while retaining quality. The only part of the video that looks rather bad is the totally pointless "romantic sex scene" because of the upped contrast. I had to make the contrast higher during recording because the video was too friggin' dark. >.<

I'll post the whole thing in a new thread in several parts on Mediafire when I'm done. :) I'll also put the raw on Youtube for those of you who may have trouble downloading.

Fokkusu (and other everyone), do you have track "Kin-iro no Bishou" in better than here quality, with good parameters such as 44,1KHz and 320 kbit/s CBR mp3 or lossless file?
Im understand that OST was released on vinyl, but quality is too low...
