Do you know what I had to go through to find this? I had to go to Google (http://www.google.com) and type in "Mulan Soundtrack" and this came up:

Walt Disney - Mulan OST/Soundtrack [5 Albums][VBRkbps 192-320kBit/s] (http://tehparadox.com/forum/f86/walt-disney-mulan-ost-soundtrack-%5B5-albums%5D%5Bvbrkbps-192-320kbit-s%5D-1061871/)

Register, it's free. It's also got some decent stuff on it. Much of it comes form here, but still. GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND, USE IT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE

i agree with your point, Dak. But, does it seem to anyone else we are getting a lot..mmm...more mean spirited around here in general. Is it a winter thing? I mean, at least this WAS in the request section, not hurting anyone....

Babydoll, I knew you'd be here saying something like that. I don't mean it in a bad way, it's just how you are - a very sweet person. But let me say this: I am not the brightest bulb in the box. Really, I'm not. I'm an idiot when it comes to a lot of things. Yet I know to GOOGLE something when I'm looking for it. If this idiot (meaning me) knows to GOOGLE something when looking for it, certainly musik0 does. EVERYONE does. Google is the most popular search engine. I guarantee you someone will be here later in the day stating they agree with me. I just don't understand how someone has the knowledge to start a request for an OST here in the request section, yet not GOOGLE it, that's all. I find it getting worse and worse. You gotta do some of the work yourself. You shouldn't just start a request for something and not do jack about it while expecting everyone else to. That is all.

You know what else this idiot could do to improve his posts? Use image tags rather than hyperlink tags so that we all can see the picture he was trying to show right there in his post rather than having to click a link.

Oh, and I'll help fulfill your guarantee as long as I'm here. While not everything can be found on Google, a hell of a lot of good stuff can be. And it can be just as simple as typing in the very soundtrack you're looking for. Most of the time you might have to add keywords like "download", "free", and sometimes auto-fill even offers "filestube".

No offense to the OP, but in general, when I see requests like this, I feel that some people have become way too dependent on this community helping them out. I searched for music long before I joined this site--in fact, I can even pinpoint the exact soundtrack that was exclusive to this site that brought me here in the first place! Dak is right (although he is a little on the harsh end). Google is your friend--everybody's friend, and it is always worth a Google search before coming here starting a request thread and having a situation like this occur.

Dimensioner is the exact person I knew who would back me up on this. I know you too well, man. Well said and thank you.

So, you figure what? The request forum is a last resort? I says nothing about that in the Shrine forums. None at all. I am not suggesting you are wrong about finding things for yourself, you lug. I am just suggesting the tone and language used are becoming harsher. He's made 11 posts. Assume maybe he doesn't know everything. I seem to remember Dak, that at one time you yourself were knew at posting links. Remember? Remember the attitude folks gave you, cause posting is actually really simple. We learn by doing, yes. But a little sympathy is not unwarranted.

What is wrong with "nice"? You both have spent more time complaining about finding his request for him, than it took to find and post it. What is the point of that? The only thing he is likely to take away from this :situation" is that we are a bunch of dicks. That helps no one. All you had to do was say, hey, when you google mulan, you get these results. Help him through it, without calling him names.

Of course my being "nice", I would have noticed he seems interested in the score sections. So, I would have asked him if he had ever heard of the complete and academy versions of the score? Then, being the awesomeness that is me, I would have found and posted said promo. Just cause. Fundamentally, I see the filling of requests differently than you, I guess. I download relatively few things these days. I do a lot more sharing. That is the big pay-off for me. It always makes my day to be helpful.

**damn niceness**

I only share what I have never seen posted here, which isn't much. I try and do my part. I suppose you could say it's the winter, Babydoll. I *fucking* hate it. NY has nasty winters, and it was extremely cold and windy this week. Plus it doesn't help that my head is shaved.

Winter isn't an excuse for me. It's been rather spring-like here most of November, December and January. And no names were called here. Both I and Dak called Dak an idiot, sure, but nothing was directed at the OP.

I believe I've already been chastised for doing this one--oh yes, it was that time that someone requested the Puss in Boots score several weeks before it came out and both Dak and I started posting in all caps, really large font size, in a variety of fonts and colors. Bottom line really just is: have you tried Googling it? But even something as simple as that could come off sounding dick-ish so I don't really know what to do.

I also only see the usefulness in starting a request for something that you wish to learn more information on, be it an expanded or complete release or just to see if the score exists; or for rare or out-of-print releases. But once again, I was told by Sanico or Jessie or someone else high up that the request sections aren't exclusively for those types of inquiries. Just in my opinion, I feel that someone ought to get a baseline of what is available before blindly starting a request and causing a pointless situation like this one we are all partaking in right now. And the best way to establish that baseline would be to Google your inquiry first. I suppose this issue only gets on the nerves of a select few and wouldn't be big enough to create a sticky about, though.

I think all the rules for this section say are place requests here. I have always taken that to mean, you know, place a request here. No more or less. It is like the hunt thread. That was originally set up to hunt down hard to find scores. Promos, oop etc. Not new releases. But, it has morphed into a general request thread. I often request things this way. True, usually i have done a quickcheck around, but usually I know what i want, and also know it is not around much.

This will be my last post for this thread. I hunted it down for the guy, posted it, and hopefully he has it and is enjoying Jerry Goldsmith's Score. It has gone beyond it's point.

The request section is intended for every member of the forum to create threads for making their request(s), regardless if the title is easily findable or not.

In short, anything can be requested by anyone. And the place to do so is in the request sections.
