what class u guys gonna be? im torn between summoner or dragoon, hard to say if i like melee or magic better, but before expansion ill just go black mage.

its really hard to decide i think ill start out as a black mage but as the FF11 webpage says in a while ill try to pick up some STR and fight melee =D

Im going to pay the extra and have atleast 4 characters, 2 warriors, 1 white mage, and 1 black mage. That always worked for me in Final Fantasy 1.

You guys... DO realize that classes aren't fixed for that character forever... right?

There really is no need to pay for more than one character unless you have a household that wants to play. It'll take you forever to make a character...

Right now I'm a Thief, but I plan on switching to Monk soon, whenever I get the urge to do it.

Overall I'm thinking of a Dragoon/Thief or Dragoon/Warrior.

Samurai, obviously.

Not sure what I'm going to start off as, but I want to get to the point where I am playing a dragoon with samurai as my subjob.

Summoner is such a rushed and broken job, why would anyone play it? ~_~;

I'm currently a lv.29 warrior with a lv.14 monk subjob, from there i'm going to swith to Paladin and finish that job up with full artifacts armor. Woo meatshields rock!~

Right now I'm a hume with lv 12 red mage and lv 8 thief, but I'm probably gonna stop playing for a while seeing as I've been playing on my friends computer and he's probably getting annoyed with me always playing this game. It's just too addicting. I can't wait till I get a comp capable of running this game.

Right now I got three lvl 9 characters and an lvl 5. The first lvl 9 is an Theif, the second lvl 9 is an Warrior, and the third lvl 9 is an Red Mage. My lvl 5 character is an Warrior as well. I don't really know what I want them all to be just yet though.

im a lvl 12 pld working towards higher lvls so i can change to DRK ;)

If I get the game (more like if my parents let me get the game *rollseyes*) I'm going to start as a theif then be a ranger. If I get really into the game, I might make a Galka tank...

I just got my Paladin job a couple of days ago and i'm now lv.16, one more level and i get Cure 2 and Shell! Cure 2 is really good at keeping the monster from attacking the mages because if your Provoke just didn't get the monsters attention then just pop up a Cure 2 on any person in your Party and it'll keep fixated on you again. That's why Paladin's don't get much mana because it's really just used to keep hate on yourself, but it can be useful when you're soloing stuff.

I finally got this game on my comp yesterday, stupid patch took 3 hours to download. This is such a great game, right now I'm an Elvaan warrior at lv 5 named Turambar. So if any of you are on Fenrir don't forget to say hi.

I have a question. Over here the game costs $99. I was wondering what you get. Do you just get the game, because that would be a rip if that's all you got for $99.

You're talking about the PS2 right??

The game comes with the PS2 hard-drive and a free month of play.

Currently I'm a lvl 26rdm/13whm, and when I hit lvl 30, I plan on obtaining bard and summoner. I'm going to play bard quite a bit because it's something I'm curious about, but my main focus is going to be summoner. I plan on leveling it to 20, working my ass off to do the lvl 20 avatar fights, then leveling summoner up to something 30ish. Then I'm subbing summoner to whm and leveling that up. (Ah, to be a level 56whm with access to aerial armor...........) When my level is high enough, I plan on doing the high level avatar battles to get the whispers, and then taking on Fenfir.

After that? I'm not sure yet. Maybe I'll work on bard more, maybe I'll make summoner my main....maybe I'll give some melee jobs a try. That's my master plan as it currently stands.

I plan on getting Warrior to lvl 30 and becoming a Paladin/Warrior and staying that way. Why ? It just suits me, I like Paladins. I got the game three days ago and now I'm a level 9 Warrior...I plan on playing for most of the summer though.

I still plan on getting THF to 30 (so close :P) and then getting NIN and RNG, and probably all the rest of the job too =\. I'm especially interested on BST, 'cause I can make myself Pet Food to heal my pets 'n' stuff. SMN too for that reason, if it works that way >.>. I'm also hoping that soon they'll add in a few more jobs, like Blue Mage or Dancer or something, 'cause I'd also try that out ^_^.
So far goal is still RNG/NIN, and I think I may have stumbled upon my way of fueling the high cost (cooking baby!)

I would love Blue Mage and Dancer too, though I'm not sure how they'd work it to make dancer different then bard.

And elementalist would be the coolest thing ever. ^^

I'd also really love a female only job and a male only job.......maybe something like the Lady Luck job in FFX-2? Not sure on how that could really work in a party though. Wishful thinking, i guess.

Squenix said that the next update was focusing more on expanding the world then on new jobs, but I saw a picture of all the AF1 and AF2, and there were two armors I didn't recognize. One looked like a mage job, and the other looked like a melee job,.

I hope they add more mage jobs. I think the game could use it, personally.

Definitley could use more mages.

Too bad Time Mage's spells were all stolen... they're left with what. Comet? :x

One job I would not like to see, however, is a Calculator. At least, not as powerful as it was in FFT ^^

Dancer could easily be different than BRD. They'd have dances instead of songs :P. And probably more to do with messing with the opponent than boosting allies' abilities. Also would be a better fighter than BRD >.>

I'm gonna save up money with my bro and we're gonna share an account. I'm gonna be a BLM(black mage) and sub a WHM(white mage)because I heard it is the best BLM sub. My brother is gonna be a monk and then get paladin but he doesn't know about subbing so he hasn't decided what he'll sub.

I plan to work on an RDM/BLM combination, mainly because of all I've heard about how they can do quite well solo-ing, which is what I intend to do anyway. I know it's an MMORPG and you're supposed to party up with everyone, but I prefer to run around and kill things on my own. :D

Plus, my connection gets really laggy when there are more than five characters on screen doing something at once, which kills my usefulness in a battle.

I'd really like to see Gambler.

I read that a while ago, and didn't think it'd be that useful...

plus there's plenty of other jobs that haven't made it in that have a bigger FF history than that. And then they'd also have to make a "Thug," "Ambusher," and "Butcher" jobs :P

I put together a great way to have Elementalist using whips and equiping crystals to your shield slot and giving them the ability to change the weather conditions for their PT to increase magic and other effects etc... etc...

I also wish to see Blue Mage, but find a lacking for any really good Melee jobs that could be added at this point,

Drg needs to be fixed badly though. The jobs more screwed than anything else.
