Hi everyone! I managed to do a home-brewed vinyl rip of the social network with some tweaks to get rid of the pops and cracks that came along with the shitty manufacturing. Every song sounds amazing minus "In Motion", which I have been having difficulty sounding great all-around. I would want to upload on here since I have not upload a single album on here yet, but I would like suggestions first on a server that would have the files up for longer than a week. I was thinking to upload the songs individually, seeing as how the album is 1.1 ghz.

As soon as I find a good server, I'll throw the rip on here.

Cheers!

Why would you want to get rid of them? That's the awesome thing about vinyl. I grew up listening to my parents' albums, they have quite a collection.

You're saying you like to hear pops and cracks distort the music? I can understand the novelty and feel of the vinyl, but believe me, when you read some of the reviews for this album on vinyl, you'll understand why I took out the pops and cracks. Mind you, I took out the most distasteful and annoying cracks and pops. Nevertheless, the hissing and cracks from a typical vinyl are still there.

I love it. I have the Inception vinyl rip, and it's awesome. It probably sounds weird, me enjoying the vinyl cracks and pops on a score, but I love it.

Resolution is great with Vinyl, but pops and click? i don't like them. I've been listening to vinyl since the 60's. oooops. and they're great without the wear and clicks. I among other sound engineering, clean Vinyl for a living, and find it strange, people who want the pops.
if the pops are very light and few maybe. But my experiance with Vinyl and CD's? the real deal is in who mixed the Master. I find that Vinyl releases can sound better than CD's and Visa Versa depending on the Fidelity of The Release.
I Do think that the resolution of 24bit over 16bit is prefered, and allways should have been the prefered format. 96KHz over 44.1? i think 48KHz should be the Frequency Range format used. Anything higher is unperceptable.

I would like to hear this release.
As far as where to upload? i like Peeje when they have their servers running properly. They are totally free.
