I already did, I will post it here, though If you still want to make it yourself, you will need:

The Whaler (Alternate)
Kirk Freed
The Probe
Crash/Whale Fugue
The Whaler (Album/Film)
End Title (Alternate)

Thanks Faleel (You say 'an edit', does that mean you expect to do other versions? Or are you a perfectionist?). You got this done pretty quickly. Much appreciated.

No, I t just means that its a bunch of cues from the score, edited to how they are in the European prologue.

raybond
01-06-2012, 11:00 PM
So the European cut of the movie has this version of that cue instead?

The International Version of the film had an extended prologue with Shatner as Kirk narrating a Captain's Log review of Treks II and III. The music for it was taken from other and alternate parts of Rosenman's score. It's just a pity that the International Blu-rays also only have the US version of the film. The prologue is available on YouTube. I remember seeing Trek IV in Salt Lake City, UT, in April 1987 (my first Trek at the cinema) and then seeing it again back in Coventry, UK a few weeks later and being surprised by the prologue. But it is how I grew up with the film and it somehow doesn't feel right to have it missing. Also, in the UK at least, the film was marketed as The Voyage Home rather as Star Trek IV. Even on the film the title was The Voyage Home in large blue capitals with Star Trek IV is small type below. The title appears with the blue ball of the probe and the title opening out from that rather than the transporter effect that the US version has. This was also how the film was released on VHS initially. Then when the multi-film box sets of the films starting coming out (I think with Trek 5) the US version was used and I haven't seen the International Version used since.

We HAVE no squirrels here, the coyotes got them all. True story, coyotes have been jumping over walls, and making off with family pets. Just last week they took a German Shepard and ripped it apart. We have them in the University park areas across the street from here. Turns out desert noobs and tourists were feeding them....:O It's a big thing in the news right now..:notgood:

The link in post 106 is STILL active, presumably you don't like checking...

Can someone reupload the Market Street Film Version and the Prologue tracks again?

Here are the files bundled together and re-uploaded again in password protected shells...

Each package includes Herbert West's files (retaining his original password [ gillian ]), and Faleel's 2 bonus files - European Prologue and Market Street Film version in Mp3-only...

FLAC: DepositFiles (http://dfiles.eu/files/aitpydd2y)

MP3: DepositFiles (http://dfiles.eu/files/u7mq6s77f)

Password: Orion999

I am not going to upload the bonus tracks separately, so if you want just them then download the MP3 package and ditch the main component.

Anyone just wanting the artwork, then soundtrekker's link is still active.
