Once in every boy�s life, he dreams of becoming the best of the best of the best. The FFS Card Game is the world�s well known card battle game system. To be the best requires more than just a keen, sharp mind on the cards. Many have sought for the respect of many other card players. Many duel, many collect, everyone fights.
This is a tale about a young boy whose dreams and desires come clear after a life shattering experience. This is his first step to become the greatest FFS duelist ever.
The Yagami family, perhaps one of the most elite families in the FFS Card Circuit, lacks an entry to the FFS Card Circuit. Their main player, Senya Yagami, reigning champion of the Circuit, has died in a car accident and the family must continue on with their FFS legacy without him. Only one has the ability to continue what was lost. Keiichi Yagami, the brother of Senya Yagami, must battle on to continue the reign of the Yagami family.
Under the skies, there lies a youth with passion, the passion to become the best of the best of the best. Keiichi, lead the Yagami name to victory!
(Chapter 1: End of a Story, Beginning of a Legend)
2003: The creation of the Final Fantasy Shrine Trading Card Game. The first set of 30 cards soon became collectables and slowly expanded to more expansion sets.
2004: With many tournaments spawning from this card game, a national tournament circuit was created known as the FFS Card Circuit.
2005: The Yagami family won the first FFS Card Circuit on January 1st. Their representative was Senya�s and Keiichi�s father.
2006: The Kagami family won the second FFS Card Circuit, the Yagami family ends up in second place.
2015: The sons of the Yagami (Senya) and Kagami battled each other in the 10th annual FFS Circuit Tournament. The battle was a draw.
20XX:
The Circuit was held every year at the beginning of December. Everyone has been anticipating the battle between Yagami and Kagami to be a fierce battle and of course many hope to excel against these two power houses in the circuit. However, a turn for the worse causes a new flame to burst.
Keiichi is a 17 year old High School student who cared deeply for his brother. Always supporting him through his battles in life and in the cards, he was always by his brother�s side. Unfortunately, he did not have many dreams other than to copy his brother, to become the best FFS Card battler. Sadly though, because he tries so hard to copy his brother, he can never win many battles. Weak in mind and the strong passion to win could not help him. So, Keiichi decided to quit playing FFS Card, his weak deck consisted of nothing of power and so he gave up. Because of this, he was never much of a guy who was motivated to help himself, rather give it all up to support others and so on.
Senya was getting ready for his endeavors in the next tournament� however, while driving to his home one day, he was in a car accident and was rushed to the hospital. Upon hearing this, Keiichi rushed to the hospital to his brother�
Keiichi runs in to the room. �Doctor!? What happened? How is my brother?� The doctor gives a stern look to Keiichi; it did not look good at all. �Keiichi� come here�� By his brother side, Keiichi listens to his final words.
�Keiichi, listen to me� you must continue on the Yagami legacy in the FFS Card Circuit� you must train to be better than me.� How can I? How can I be the person to continue the legacy? These words flowed through Keiichi�s mind. �Brother, I can�t continue the legacy, I can�t battle!� The voice of Keiichi shows that he will only disappoint his brother, he lacks the confidence to grab his deck of cards again and compete at such a high level. �Keiichi, you�ve been behind me for so long, it�s time for you to take charge and battle on. Battle with your dreams in mind! That is what this is all about.�
With his final moments, he reaches for this case on the side and presents it to Keiichi. Keiichi takes it and opens it, revealing Senya�s deck of cards. There was a card in a card protector, Keiichi looks at it�

Senya smiled at Keiichi "That is the soul base of the deck... don't ever lose it and never underestimate it... Kenchii... fight hard..." and then finally leaves the world, knowing that Keiichi won�t let him down.
�Brother� I don�t know if I can do this� but I can�t let you down� I must fight my battles and win for the Yagami family, as well as you Senya� thank you.�
