How do you know it's really good? Just being by a composer you like does not just guarantee goodness..:)

you can't judge a score by the movie. there are a lot of crappy movies out there with really good scores

I did not see the movie either. BUT I will say seeing the movie usually helps me get into a score more.
I had not bothered with Rise of the Planet of the Apes, for example, but after seeing it, and loving it, I have grabbed the score...

If you like action/suspense score as much as I do, you will love The Darkest Hour, at least from what I've heard on itunes

Agreed! Look at the new Conan movie, it was complete shit, but Bates score to it was incredible!
