Well I don't know about you guys but the Hobet things you can be look inferior for FF.....I think they are terrible. When I get the game I shall start a clan comprised of murdering those little things...sorry if thats the race you choose and I kill you.....you may kill me though so thats a nice thought for ya...I wish Squaresoft would change that race to look like somthin other then a Doll.....well thats just my opinion you all may like the race.

I think they look friendly, plus you better hope they dont start a race to destoy you because together in a big group they could be super powerful cuz they are the main magic users in the game.

I know I already thought of that, I just better stay sharp and stay clear of larg well....little heards of them......

When is this game supposed to be out? I didn't even know PS2 finally got its act together and had a modem you could clip onto the darn thing.

The modem is from Square and I thought it always has had it. I havent even looked on mine.

Humes are Humans. Elves are Elvarae or something. And those things I dont know what they are. I just call them short.

"hobet like things" are called "taru taru's"....

The PS2 Mag says that the little hobbet things are called Tal Tals.
And to the one who said he will use holy on me.......I say reflect. And as for the summons I could care less I have beaten summons before and due to this game being online I think the Summons will be weaker and be effected by status effects just to give people a chance against summoners. And even if that is not the case, we shall see what unfolds in the game you can't predict a outcome this early.

Yea well the Playstation Mag says they are called the Tal Tals......who would be right PSM or a website that finds out info? No offence cause they might of misprinted but I think the PSM would be a more reliable source of info.

First af all, Game informer is a mag too, second of all, your right PSM is a more reliable source of info, in fact i have a PSM right here in font of me that calls them "tarutarus." like i said.

Not sure if someone pointed this out, but the reason for the difference is the natural difference in language. The sound of "Taru" loosely translates to the sound of "Tal" in English. Take the Jap. version of FFX, where Yunalesca is Yunaresca, and Luca is Ruka (I think). Also, the trailing "u" in "Taru" isn't pronounced.

So, if they try and keep the names similar, "Tal Tal" would be a good bet..

Im gonna make one of those. They are cool and good at magic. I also want to make an Elvin archer, dont ask why but I love archery in MMORPGS. I had a GM Archer, lumberjack in UO and a level 80 Zon with Eaglehorn in D2. This game looks so fun though.

I can easily hate them because I liked vincent who had no feelings so obviosly i could hate something that dispicably cute.

Those Mages are a cross between FF IX, cuteness, and...well, ugliness. but out of all the races I'd have to pick Taru Taru, just because they seem so friendly.

are they the only magic users or can humans or "humes" use them also.

whoever said tal tal is an idiot because i have the official psm that comes with the demo disc and it says taru taru and they are the only race that can cast magic humans do things such as mining.
