... Is when you've maxed out your characters levels to 100, the only FF game that maxes out on this number. And then you fight these enemies in Ultimecia's castle that cast Level 5 Death... ON YOUR WHOLE PARTY!!! >_<

Anyone else find that particularly annoying, or is there another move that a particular enemy uses that annoys the hell out of you?

Yeah, I hate Lv5 Death! You worker so hard to get to Lv.100 that now you are completely vulnarable to a simple attack... Man, I really hate that! Well you just have to jucntion 100 Death spells to your status defense... :(

Terra Homing (from Omega Weapon) is pretty annoying too, as also Light Pilar...

Junction death to status defense :B
Just one is enough if you don't have 300 death spells xD xD ;)
So, really... I never had that problem at level 100.

Bad breath was the most annoying move in the game :p unprepared.

Only way I ever managed to beat those "Bad Breath" plants was either thanks to Odin or Quistis with iniative & critical health, using her degenerator. I was a bit too lazy to setup my party to be able to take it down the hard way.

I mean, with stats meant to face Bad Breath, you're kinda screwed if you run into another powerful enemy, right? It's not like I'm going to get poisoned, blinded, muted and berserked by a Ruby Dragon or anything.

Right, I agree with Bad Breath. And I totally used Odin or Quistis.

ya, i do the same thing, only way i can survive

I also really hate when you junction for a boss battle, win and then get your ass kicked by some little monster because your so weak to them ( there's a few of them)

well, thats about it

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">Against Malboros I usually made sure that at least one character had protection against as many of the statuses as possible (because it's impossible to block every one of them 100% even with a ST-Defx4). True, it was very annoying when I first found a Malboro though, I just about managed to run away. :p

I'd have to agree with the Lv5 Death one actually. I got hit with that by some Toramas after I hadn't saved for a while, which was a bloody annoying game over. After that I've always made sure to keep two characters with ST-Def of Death, and the third usually has it on ST-Atk (with 100 Confuses on ST-Def of course ;)).

Bad breath sucked in FF8. It wasn't so bad in the others, but it seemed worse in this one.

Yeah, bad breathe was like almost every single status attack possible is used against you, it seemed unfair, even if you junction pain to status defense. :(

Though its not a monster thing, I hate the fact when you use kamikazee the character simply dissapears from battle...I'd love to revive them and do it again. :) But alas, that would make the game far too easy. :(

It was worse is FFX. Malboros always had initiative and always used Bad breath. Plus you could only protect against a few of the ailments.

In FF8 I think the most annoying was anything Zell did.

He means that Zell was so annoying, anything he did was/is annoying to him Right Jamie?

And yes Marlboros are pains in the arse, though in FFX: International/European you could defend yourself against the status aliments a nice little add-on called 'Ribbon', helps a bunch.

Yes. Zell is just stupid and him walking one step would be the most annoying move.

The most annoying move in FFVIII? I would have to say, hands down, encountering a Marlboro before Disc 3. I had the worst luck with Marlboro's in that game than any other time I have played an ff game. Every single time you would get ambushed and every single time they would use Bad Breath. What sucks even worse is if you think you have a chance of winning, those things have a crap-load of HP and it takes SOOOOOO long to kill them if you are silenced.

OOOOOOH. Then I back you 100%. I know how that is. Especially when I was on my way back to Esthar after coming from the Lunar Gate because I was low on items and I got two people dead by a Torama and zell was poisoned and had darkness.

I GOT IT!!!! Sorry about doin the posting every other time thing but you just watch Exs, I am contributing. The most annoying move I have ever had on VIII was fighting level 100 ruby dragons with Squall at low HP so he could do Renzokuken and them doing meteor and hitting Squall like 5 out of 10 times! They do it EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!! When Squall is healthy, it is always random but nooooo when he is weak they have to pick on the little guy. DAMN YOU RUBY DRAGONS!

If you have ever made a perfect party(9999 hp for everyone, 255 stats for everything, absorbs everything, most status defences) then you will realilze that terra break from omega weapon is the worst attack in the entire game. why, well if you have those stats, meteor does 12 damage per hit, ultima does around 50, every attack does less than 100, except for the predefined damage ones(light pillar, megido flame, hells judgement), but terra break can kill your entire party even on full health even with auto protect. think of meteor doing over 2000 damage a hit.
