One of the best features of Final Fantasy X is being able to chop and change your party during battle. When your party is getting their asses handed to them, it's good to pull out an under-performing character and put in someone who will cause some mean damage. There is, however, the problem of EXP not being given to those who aren't in battle.

So, did everyone like this feature of the game, or do you feel that it took away from the challenge? I'll admit some bosses were easy before you charged up overdrives and then hit them with them. However, it adds another dimension to the game. I did try and get everyone to do one move in a boss battle to share EXP. XD

It's a pretty cool feature... True, it does make some battles easier but it is a life saver at times. Plus it's always been so hard to choose a party of 3. Now you can have all 7 in your party, only fighting in three's... :)

I also like this feature cause you can finally switch the main character of a game (in this case Tidus) with someone more useful... :)

It's only usefull in the beginning of the game, it needs to be done even. WHen you need magic to defeat an oppent. But later in the game, when you gained alot of levels and almost has access to all skills/weapons/armor/magic etc it doesnt really matter anymore. Except for Yuna, who can summon.

I liked it because if someone's about to die, you can send someone else.

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">With the amount of time stat-maxing takes, it's actually a very useful system. I never bothered with the Don Tonberry technique, so I stuck to getting EXP normally, and that was a much quicker way of gaining sphere levels, while in other games if you wanted to level up your characters you had to do them 3-4 at a time.

During the game itself though, again it was useful, although possibly too easy. It is kinda useful though, because I would actually use Yuna and Lulu early on. Normally I wouldn't use mages much at all, but because you can take them out when they're not needed, every character could be used effectively. I liked the idea.

I thought it was a brilliant additionas in the others you'd have the three fighting and the others would just sit and watch (well at least that's what I was thinking) but now you can swap them around and have everyone get in the fight which is what would happen if it was kingdom hearts battle type, fighting in real time.

I used everyone in every battle at first to get everyone's sphere level up, I'd use lulu, rikku, kimarhi and yuna for things like luck, lancet, pray and focus, then have auron, wakka and tidus finish the battle and kill the smeggers.

Yes, it was a great feature, sometimes it did border on making the game too easy... but it never did... applauds to Squaresoft... errr... Square Enix now... umm, yeah...

I liked the feature. It did make the game a bit easier, but it was a different system of leveling/skill learning for the characters.

This was, without a doubt, one of my faverite additions to the series. the ability to take someone out who has been poisoned and put in a fresh face was amazing. I hated trying to heal all my members in other games, in this one you could just take them out. of course it did make the game a little to easy.

i dont think that it made the game easier at all. they design games (or try, in some cases) to go along with all of its elements. so in ffx, they made the enemies in certain ways for that fact.

i thought that it was awesome. i have always tried to use all of the characters in equal shares in all of the games that i play, with two exceptions: the characters in the different worlds of kingdom hearts and:

ff7 spoiler!!!!!!

aeris, since how she dies.

i guess this would b annoying for people who just want to use their favorites, but that isnt how the game would really be like. but khimari (is that how u spell it......i havent played the game n some time) was like clay--u could mold him into anyone.

u know, thats a thought. wouldnt it be kEwL 2 have a battle system like ffx but u get to mold everyone like khimari to follow any path? u know, like having "jobs" except it wouldnt really be like that (i hated the job system. what was that in.....ff5 was it?). that seems fun...
