With spoilers of course, for both Matrix Reloaded and FFX~

This might seem silly and stuff, but come to think of it... Am I the only one who noticed this little plot twist at the end of Matrix Reloaded was similar to the little plot twist near the end of FFX?

Let's look at Yuna and Neo: Both the Chosen One and the Summoner had to discover near the end of the movie/game that their whole journey had been more or less in vain. Their roles were not to free humanity from the threat (the machines, Sin) forever, all they could do is win some time until it all starts repeating.

They both had to learn that their quest was actually necessary for the Matrix's or Yevon's survival...

Both were told to sacrifice the one they loved...

... and both decided to rebel and risk it all to maybe save the world for good, but not just for a little while.

Hmm.... maybe I am taking this to far, but I was lying in bed yesterday and this suddenly jumped into my mind and started kicking my brain... so I had to get it out.

You know, the two stories when you think about it are close, enough to be either accepted that the Matrix Reloaded did parallel FFX in some way, or enough to just shrug it off as coincidence...

***Um, Matrix Reloaded Spoilers? And FFX spoilers***

When Neo brings Trinity back from the dead, it's his love that saves her life. Ultimately, when Tidus decides not to confront Sin in the normal way (as Neo chose not to confront the Matrix in the normal way) he was able to save the one he loved in Yuna. Oh, and it was Auron who helped lead Tidus and Yuna to the decision.

Tidus = Neo, Yuna = Trinity, Auron = Morpheus.

... This could be another one of those darn Final Fantasy conspiracy theories!!!

well really it would be a matrix: reloaded conspiracy since FFX came out first.

But yeah some good points made. I had the same thoughts with lord of the rings.

Yuna has to save the world, Frodo has to save the world, Yuna has gaurdians, Frodo has gaurdians, Auron helps tidus learn about everything, gandaulf helps frodo learn everything, Auron leads the way through everything since he's already been through it all, golem has been through everything before and he can lead the way through it all.

I guess FFX is just that good that the two biggest movies ever made have to have similarities with it. Maybe FFX should become a movie... No I won't start a thread on if FFX should become a movie, but it would be a touching and amazing story if it did.

Ignore the last bit I put, this isn't a thread about if FFX should become a movie.

dont forget in the first matrix

when neo "came" into the real world, it was like tidus entering spira.

and how tidus was living in zanarkand (ideal world or matrix), and when he went to Spira (real world where it's cold and dark and such(

They are afact in like in this sense. Just because analyzing to a full extent yields a result, does not mean it is not without credibility. It neither means that they are purposely alike or have a conspiracy or inspire the other.

They are heroes only to find they are not heroes, only pawns of a broken world.

You have great analtical mind, Misao.
