Whoa, we only have 3 topics going on here! Let's add one more... 3 questions. 1) What is your favorite party? 2) What is your best party to use against the final bosses? 3) Who is your favorite character and why? Oh yeah, if you haven't beaten the final bosses yet, try to not look at the answers to question 2, OK?

1) My favorite party is Zidane, Vivi, Eiko, and Steiner. Vivi and Eiko are my favorite characters and are awesome mages with Flare and Holy. Steiner is a great fighter with awesome abilities and even good magic combos, Doomsday Sword is awesome! I'm not too fond of Zidane but I've grown to having him in my party so I keep him there.

2) My team in fighting the final bosses is Steiner, Vivi, Eiko, and Amarant. Steiner, Vivi, and Eiko for the reasons above and Amarant cause he's another great fight and when in Trance, his Aura and Chakra are very useful, especially in the Necron fight...

3) My favorite characters are Vivi and Eiko. Both are so cute... :) They have great personalities and are the best mages out there. I love the fact that both can do 19998 damage per turn during Trance with double Flares and double Holys. I also have to say Eiko has better summons then Garnet. True Garnet does have more and all of them are offensive but with the exception of Odin, Eiko's Madeen can do just as much damage as all of them w/o having to power the majority of them up. Besides, Pheonix is an awesome summon which can cure you even when all of your characters are dead. Go Vivi and Eiko!!! :)

Well.

1.) My favourite party for most fights was Zidane (I still can't get over that name and it's reference to the French football player), Dagger (or that name), Vivi and Freya.

Zidane was my main attacker, getting 6000 damage for normal attack and 9999 when in Trance. Freya I used techniques such as Reis' Wind (Regen on all, k thx bye), and White Wind (saves trying to find ethers to restore MP), Vivi to kick ass with Black Magic (though I was mighty miffed not to get Ultima with him) and Dagger, in trance, with Eidolon Bahamut kicking ass. Basically, when she's tranced, Bahamut continously attacks after the first summonning of him. Which is great, because I could leave Dagger / Garnet sat there and switch turns and have a constant attack each round. So to speak.

2.) Erm, well, see above.

3.) My favourite character was Kuja. Well, I liked the whole "go crazy because you're doomed to die" thing he went through. Maybe I'm just weird... I also found Amarant as the loner as a cool character.

1) I usually use Zidane, Steiner, Eiko and Quina.

Zidane - don't you have to have him in your party most of the time? I might prefer adding in Amarant or Freya, but I think you have to have him.

Steiner - Climhazzard is a very nice move that can help to take out enemies such as Yans quickly. I definitely like having him in my party.

Eiko - She has good magic and I really like Eiko.

Quina - I liked Quina as a character too and found her Blue Magic quite effective.

Replacement characters, let's see. I like using Freya's Dragon Crest sometimes because it's a guaranteed 9999 if properly powered up and it casts quickly. I sometimes swap Steiner for Amarant. Another strong fighter and his Trance was quite strong. What other character has the ability to bring back all three characters to life in one move? (Other than Eiko.) Too bad Trance was so hard to control. Didn't like using Vivi too much, I'm not much of a fan of black magic. Dagger / Garnet, well, no thanks.

2) Zidane because you have to have him. Freya and Quina for their instant 9999 attacks and probably Steiner as well.

3) Beatrix! I really like how she developed and I love her looks too. She also had a great theme song. As for the main characters, I'd go with Eiko. She's just endearing to me.

1. Zidane, Garnet, Steiner and Vivi. Equip Zidane with the Ultima Weapon, Garnet with Ark, Steiner equipped with the Ragnarok (or at the very least, Excalibur) and using Shock equally spaced with Flare and Doomsday Swords, and Vivi casting Flare - you can't go wrong! I admit, Eiko is probably preferential over Garnet as a White Mage, but equip everyone with Auto-Regen, one summon of Ark later thanks to Garnet, and you have all your HP back with a ton of damage dealt to the enemy too!

2. See above. Up against Necron though, I normally hold off casting Ark until Necron's used Grand Cross, just in case the party is hit with Zombie as a result. And having a Zombified character with Auto-regen is not a good thing.

3. Beatrix. No question. Pity you can only use her twice in the game though.

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">My team for most of the game was Zidane, Steiner, Quina and Amarant. I remember using Quina a lot because I wanted to learn all of the Blue Magics (I sitll missed out a couple of them but that's all), and its physical attacks, althugh random, can be fairly powerful. The other three are simply there to use physical attacks. I chose Amarant over Freya because of his monk abilities that are especially useful in trance. Steiner is just.. strong, you can't say anything else. ;) I kept this same party through all of the final battles too, Quina occasionally used white magic but it was really there to just physically attack. I guess I could have used Freya then, but I just chose not to because she was too low a level by then...

My favourite character would have to be either Vivi or Steiner. I really liked how Vivi's storyline developed, and how he and Zidane always seemed to help each other out.. and how he discovered a lot more about himself as he went along, and the way he took it. As for Steiner, he was great in battle, and also I liked how his character was developed. He started off hating Zidane, but he realised what was going on eventually, and then his opinion totally changed. That and I thought he was really funny early on in the game in particular.

1. My favorite party is Zidane, Vivi, Steiner, and Dagger. I used that party the first time I played the game and thought it was quite powerful. Vivi and Steiner make a deadly combination with Steiner's magic sword, you can steal with Zidane, and Dagger heals.
2. My most powerful party I've ever had would have to be Zidane, Freya, Amarant, and Dagger. This was my most powerful EVER. I stole so much with Zidane so much that his Theivary skill was 9999 damage everytime. Freya's Dragon Crest was 9999 everytime, Amarant's Demi Shock was close to 9999 everytime, and Dagger could do 9999 with Bahamut everytime because I had 99 garnets.
3. My favorite character was Zidane. He was so cool, and I thought the idea of the main character being a theif was an awesome idea. His Theivary skill is THE BEST, if you steal enough that is. 9999 damage everytime for just 6 MP i believe.

My party is almost always:

Zidane, Steiner, Dagger, and Freya.

Zidane - He's mah boy! My favorite furry-tailed little monkeyangel! ^_^ He's not only a powerful physical attacker, since I always center my game around his training, but his Dynes kick ASS! Wind him up, whack him around a little, piss him off, and unleash his genome fury all across Gaia! AHAHAHA!

Steiner - Because he's THE strongest attacker in my party, plus I just like jump-starting things with Shock. Mwah-hah-hah!

Dagger - Come on now. The girl can summon Bahamut. SHE CAN SUMMON BAHAMUT! How cool is that??!! Heehee. Plus I never like splitting the lovebirds up. Once I teach my team auto-regen, I usually don't need her as a healer, so I usually use her for her Almighty Bahamut Summon.

Freya - BEHOLD THE POWER OF DRAGON CREST!!! In addition to being a powerful physical attacker, Dragon Magic is AWESOME! Espcially said Dragon Crest magic. She da man! Or... the woman. Or... the rat. Or... whatever. o_O

Best party against bosses? Depends on the boss, really. But in general, see above list.

And my favorite character? Zidane. Hands-down. C'mon, he's totally adoreable! I just love his attitude. He's sweet, he's friendly, he's hyper and has energy... plus he's, like, perpetually horny. Heh-heh-heh. Gotta love that. :P

Plus Zidane is just someone that, despite a rather commonplace and somewhat rought upbringing, turns out to be a true friend. Loyal to the end, and willing to put his life on the line for everyone he ever came to care about. He's a charater who, in a few words, really IS the attitude of the game. The one who shows everyone what life is worth, and how to learn to live with who they are and what they can become.

1) I use all charecters to strengthen them....so I have no particular party... But I mostly use:

Zidane: you can't change him anyways. Not that I don't like using him, he's strong and can deal 9999 damage pretty early in the game... his trance is the best feature in him...

Garnet: I know Eiko is better, But Garnet has the Eidolon Bahamut...

Vivi: I guess it's easy to guess... He's the black mage... Considering that I'm a big fan of magic, that'd be an expected choice... Not to mention that his magic is really usfull...

The fourth charecter is changed between Freya, Amarant, Steiner and Quina... it's long to explain why...so I'll leave it as it is...


2) Against the last bosses I usually use Zidane, Eiko, Vivi and Steiner....

For Eiko... She's a better mage than Garnet...
As for Steiner, he's the most powerfull attacker and has the best defence....


3) My favorite charecter is probably Zidane... He's cool, fast, kind, likes to help people and quiet funny... What I like most is his personality...
As for the charecter I like most is Beatrix... She's a beuty, strong...and she's a KNIGHT:D...

My favorite party to use is Zidane, Vivi, Dagger and Steiner. This party is also the one i like to use on Kuja and Necron at the end.

My favorite Character is Zidane. Since he's a ladys man. I always think the main characters on Final fantasys are the best. Thats just me though.

1)My Favorite party in Final Fantasy IX would have to be Zidane (cause i dont have that of a choice :p), then Freya, then Eiko cause of her strong White Magic, and then Quina. People say he's like the stupidest but he's REALLY strong, like doing spells like healing your party when Eiko can't, and this magic called Angel's Snack which is useful during the last boss and against Ozma.

2)My best party would have to be the exact same party as I said in #1.

3)My favorite character in the entire game would be....Garnet, because she is a good (HOT) looking girl on a Final Fantasy game :p

This is the one game where I mixed my parties up a bit and didn't mind doing so. I felt comfortable playing with most players, maybe some reluctance with Quina.

My favorite party would probably consist of Beatrix, Freya, Eiko, and Vivi. However, in place of Beatrix (since she isn't permanate) I'd probably put Steiner and Zidane. The great thing about this game characters are unique and the variety of the party makes the game very enjoyable.
