Heh, I think I'm the only person here who collects Anime the hard way. That's right I buy them as DVDs.

I know many many people here admit to downloading it, and I was wondering...which sites do you get them from? I might as well do a trial seeing as I have a CD RW now, I should hope it is safe enough. Please, I ask of you kindly, can you reccomend to me any good resources?

Um, i doubt there exists a site which allows ppl to download anime. Even if there is, it's not allowed to be posted here because it's considered as advertising...

If you want to download anime, use p2p programs. And while downloading licensed anime is illegal, you can always download fansubs.

I used to download em off peer 2 peer programs like Kazaalite and stuff like that but I stopped cuz I didnt like anime that much anymore.

I use Kazaa (doesn't work that well) and BitTorrent.
Just google (http://www.google.com" target="_blank) 'bittorrent' and you're guaranteed to find the program somewhere. It's some sort of peer-to-peer program.

Go to the DNAngel thread (http://forums.ffshrine.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9519" target="_blank), Atomxy explained it all. ^_^

Mind you, it's mostly newer animes that are available this way, not the older ones.

Nope, I dont download them. I get my friends to download them, then burn them on to CD's, and I dont even pay for them! =D o_o

Though i believe my friends use Kazzaa... However, I would be totally unaware of that. anyways.... oO

Yeah, I use kazaa too, and..well it might not be the best way but it sure is cheap (free!). It beats buying anime.

The only bad thing is that anime episodes take up a lot of hard drive space.

I hope youre all downloaders with morals, and do not download your favourite series although you can buy it in a shop around the corner.
My conscience tells me only to download animes that I cannot buy in Germany... *sighs*
Like Nymph said, its easy to download new and popular anime, but when it comes to rare, unknown, old, forgotten stuff, youll probably never get it downloaded with Kazaa, and have to actually spend money on it... =P

@Shinji
Burn them on CD~?

I occasionally download anime, but mainly for sample purposes, you cant really download much anime on 56k and i actually like watching anime in high quality on a television screen with dub and sub options.

So through a mixture of bizzare morals and technical limitations i mostly buy my anime (or tape it off TV :) ).
