So here it is, my take on a Symphony for one of the finest achievments in music for animation.
Back in the days when I watched One Piece, one thing stood out the most, the musical score.
Even to this day it is one of the most heartwarming scores I ever had the chance to listen to.
It was also my first anime score so the experience is really similar to my first encounter with Star Wars when I first noticed the music of John Williams and became a passionate lover of film music since that day.
One Piece really made me appreciate the whole medium of animation and the opportunity it gives to talented composers who know how to write music that reaches the heart of the listener.
I hope you enjoy my first contribition to the franchise. The full scores for the TV-Series & the movies will be up soon.

All of the music can be found on the soundtracks. But all the tracks except for Luffy vs. Crocodile are edited by myself.

ssj4gokulv54, I haven't listened to this yet, but it's a fan-made symphony. klnerfan loves Kouhei Tanaka (and Shiro Hamaguchi, of course) and outright stated this by proclaiming their work one fine piece of music for animation.

The work klnerfan has put into this shouldn't be played down. There's lots of good music for the TV show and movies. This isn't a simple compilation album, but a symphony with a "narrative arc". Let me treat you to a quote by Tango on his symphonic suite of Masamichi Amano's Mushiking.


I listened to the album about a dozen times over two days and made a concerned effort to memorise as much of it as I could - enabling me to group together tracks that are actually musically and thematically connected. (In stark contrast to the typical "Oh look I made a symphony!" technique of randomly shoving together a bunch of tracks without gaps.)

The only bad thing might be the cover, but it's so good I don't mind. It's actually from "One Piece Brook Special CD - Brook and the Strawhat's Concert" (AVCA-29169).
